New Video Resource: making a complaint to DSC

7th July 2017

We have produced a new video explaining the role of DSC as an independent office helping to resolve complaints about Victorian disability services.

Download video transcript in .rtf (55kb)

Narrated by actor Chris van Ingen, the video explains how DSC can help people who have a complaint about a disability service funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Disability Insurance Scheme or the Transport Accident Commission. Some examples of a disability service might include case management, respite, shared supported accommodation, day services or advocacy.

The video also includes an interview with Simone, who talks about how she wasn’t happy with her Victorian service provider and came to DSC with her complaint.

“Since speaking to the Commissioner I’ve realised that … It’s okay to speak up about things. I strongly encourage you to talk to the Commissioner if you need support. They’re really friendly, and they can help you.”

Simone, Service User
