DSC Plain English Newsletter - Winter 2016

15th July 2016

Our latest plain English Speaking Up newsletter is about your rights in a group home. You have a right to:

  • Be treated with dignity and respect
  • Privacy
  • Go into your bedroom, the bathroom, the toilet and common areas (like the lounge)
  • Use and enjoy the house

We tell Sarah’s story in the newsletter. Sarah was feeling unhappy in her home and called DSC to make a complaint. We helped Sarah talk to her service about making changes so that she could be happy in her home again.

Find out about your rights in a group home by downloading the new newsletter.

If you decide you want to make a complaint to DSC, you can make a complaint online or call us directly on 1800 677 342.
